Rick ‘Doc’ Blackwell

Golf Company, 3rd platoon, 1969.

Corpsman Rick Blackwell served with us throughout the spring and early summer of 1969.

Doc Blackwell was wounded late June on Operation Pipestone Canyon (the same day I was hit).

We took a lot of casualties that day.  I never saw or heard from him again. He was a great Corpsman

and good at his work.
